M27 - 16.9.2014 at 23.15 Inari Observation number 30392

Visibility III / V

Teppo Laitinen, Keski-Uudenmaan Altair

For comparison, I photographed objects in Lapland that I have taken pictures at home in southern Finland. In this picture, 18X45sec is stacked. without equalization images, etc.

The difference is big. It is not always realized how much light pollution is at home in the country in the pleasant darkness.

Planetary nebula is the remnant of a death star. It could be ring-shaped, disc-like or spread out rather irregularly.

With the exception of some nearest objects planetary nebulae have a small apparent diameter and they need a rather big instrument to be visible.
