Visibility III / V
Lovejoy go to cool in the low southern sky. With binoculars, an 8x42 comet was found as a fog ball when you knew where to look. When shooting with a small lens tube, the one-time exposures were maximum, otherwise the comet went streaked. Still, the rising full moon and light pollution in Helsinki grayed out the picture.
Attached is 8x1min exposure with restraint and to reveal a dim tail when treated more aggressively. North is in the pictures at the top, east on the left, the area of the image field is 55 'x 35'. The brightest star on the left side of the image is HIP20628 mag 7.46.
