Visibility V / V
The long-awaited encounter between Venus and Jupiter was drawn here in central Germany in a beautifully glass-clear sky. Already at eight o'clock in the evening I was staring at planets from the daytime sky (the sun was setting at 9:30 pm) and Venus was easily visible, after all I had been watching it for several days. I clung and strained and eventually believed I had also seen Jupiter very faintly next to Venus before sunset. I can't be sure, but yes, that 92% certainty brings me joy.
As the sun set, the play beautified and the planets brightened into diamonds. In the warm air it was nice to photograph by the window. The swallows screamed excitedly and made kamikaze-like rides past me. (Several of them showed vague streaks that stretched across the images.) A friend of mine watching a planet play was set up by a black duck who sang his soundtrack to the situation.
Really really beautiful evening.
