A fireball at night, as bright as a cresent moon - 10.9.2015 at 22.49 Vesilahti Observation number 42527

Visibility IV / V

Jari Luomanen, Ursa (Länsi-Suomi)

We saw this pretty bright fireball just before it disappeared behind the trees. We were on the beach and at first I thought someone upstairs turned on the lights as the surface of the pier was clearly lit. I was just looking at the northern lights on the camera screen at the time, looking at the surface of the dock.

I turned the camera as fast as possible in the direction of the clearly visible afterglow of the fireball, and I still got the smoke stick still recorded on the screen.
