Binocular comet Catalina - 2.12.2015 at 07.00 Tampere Observation number 45842

Visibility III / V

Tapio Lahtinen, Tampereen Ursa

The weather forecast promised last night at least partly cloudy and towards the morning even clear. So I set up the balcony observatory and wake up at six.
When I woke up, however, the weather seemed pretty hopeless. However, I decided to try when the crescent appeared, as well as Venus and Jupiter chopping through small cloud holes.
I didn’t get a picture of a perfectly clear sky and the exposures had to be kept short.
But I was pleased to have this comet also spotted.
With the viewfinder tube / camera, the subject stood out very cometically with an exposure of as little as 1 second.
I didn't get the tail.
