Visibility IV / V
I marked the observation as pearl clouds, but the more knowledgeable can tell if it is about them or just color clouds.
The first picture was taken at Kemi at 2.40 pm. Small colorful clouds began to appear through the lower clouds. Another picture in about 10min. After this, the clouds began to grow rapidly and visibly. The third picture was taken at 3 p.m. The fourth picture is from Haparanda at 15.12. We left to drive north at 16:47 and the colors of the clouds were still faint in the sky even though it was already dark at the time.
The clouds were thus considerably higher than the lower clouds. They also appeared pale colorless through thicker lower clouds. Fortunately, there was an opening in the lower clouds through which those shone clearly through the colors. Clouds were visible in the western sky.
