Transit of mercury - 9.5.2016 at 15.52 Espoo Observation number 52566

Visibility IV / V

Jouko Markkanen, Ursa (Helsinki)

Because the sky was clear, I looked at the sky and lo and behold, Mercury was lying there just in front of the Sun. Also a spectacular comma group on the surface of the sun.

The intense thermal ripple hampered the observation a bit, but for once it was a completely cloudless sky!
