Visibility I / V
The new comet C / 2016 U1 (NEOWISE), discovered at the end of October 2016, is predicted to brighten during December to the right of mag10, ie even as a binocular target. However, as the comet brightens, it moves rapidly lower in the Finnish sky, visible in the eastern morning sky. At the moment, the comet is very diffuse with a comma 2 'in diameter and, at least when photographed in Helsinki, almost disappears into light pollution. The brightest star in the image is HIP 68828 mag (V) 8.147.
