Starscape image - 1.4.2017 at 02.02 Tampere Observation number 62740

Visibility Unclassified

Jari Luomanen, Ursa (Länsi-Suomi)

We missed the short-lived maximum of the northern lights, but whatever, the Milky Way is always worth admiring. The night was pleasantly dark and when most of the snow had melted, the background sky was visually quite dark.

I decided to try Milky Way Panorama. Even in the long exposure, the very dim, barely distinguished northern lights, barely distinguishable, visible in a non-existent gray and dim glow, drew beautifully.
