Lightning photo - 29.5.2017 at 00.44 Vantaa Observation number 64273

Visibility III / V

Jani Poikela, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

Forecast models seemed to have little chance of night thunderstorms on the night between Sun and Mon. In the evening, deaf people began to appear in southwestern Finland and a few of them flickered a bit. The direction of movement of the deaf was towards the SME area, so I drove to the edge of the field with a good view to the west, from where the deaf arrived.

Shortly before the SME area, a deafening new cell grew suitably deaf, and it flashed fine clouds of light across the sky. All in all, a really weak lightning flash seems to be less than ten flashes for the total amount you saw, but whenever night thunderstorms have the opportunity to keep trying to go and watch, they are so rare at these latitudes.

Nättiä. Tuo ykköskuvan alhaalta valaistu pilvi on komean uhkaava.
