Visibility I / V
The thunder itself was not exceptionally strong, but December is not the most typical time. Therefore, the recording of observations.
Already at sunset, distant convection clouds were visible in the western sky of Salo
In the evening, a long, ribbon-like rain area crossed the Salon to the northeast, with strong rain cells. So there was also a weak thunderstorm. The lightning struck somewhere behind a cloud curtain, but a few random thumps were heard every few minutes apart. Temperature about +2 C degrees, rain, light wind.
Possibly due to thunderstorms, the center of Salo had electricity cut off from the area for a few blocks for about 10-15 minutes.
On Facebook, I also read about similar thunderstorm observations made by others in Salo and Kemiö.
