I watched hopefully until midnight, waiting for the northern lights, but nothing was visible except for the faint northern reflection. I left the camera to take pictures for the timelapse video and went to sleep.

In the morning I found that, contrary to normal, the brightest northern lights did not appear until 3 am in the area appropriately before the clouds began to gather in the sky and I made a handsome video of them, which can be found at the link below:
