A fireball at night, as bright as the sun - 24.9.2017 at 01.40 Ruovesi, Jäminkipohja, Mommoniemi Observation number 67157

Visibility V / V

I stood outside, with a starry sky, what is significant is that there is a sound associated with the observation. I heard a hissing sound and looked up at my thought of seeing a swan flying, for example. The sound was a bit similar to the firing of a firework rocket. Then I saw an apparently low fireball. The elevation estimate is based on hearing the sound and seeing the subject at the same time in the same place. The woods on the plot prevented me from seeing if the sight fell to the ground. The direction of flight was to the west. The bow of the target was a spherical fire and after a short break a fiery unstable tail.
