Visibility V / V
I noticed a fireball in the north a little to the right of the car’s center line as I drove the car on a dark straight road. The observation site is higher than the surrounding area and in my driving direction the terrain descends into the valley, so I was able to easily observe the phenomenon from its ignition all the way behind the growing forest to its disappearance. The phenomenon lasted a second, a maximum of two. The time now was 08:08. I looked at the car clock as soon as the fireball disappeared.
There were two or three flares. Their color was light greenish and they illuminated the sky surrounding the fireball. The raging fireball was clear even though it was really fast. It formed a yellowish tail behind it. The trajectory looked bullet straight and headed slightly left at an angle. I was distinguished by the decay in the fireball during the plunge, but I’m not sure if it was a delusion caused by a possible small intermittent cloud. The seemingly disintegrating event coincided with the final stage of the flight I saw. It looked like 1-2 smaller bright pieces had come off the fireball and were left a little behind. The fireball disappeared near the horizon behind a forest growing on the top of a small hill. A very spectacular phenomenon.
