Partial solar eclipse - 11.8.2018 at 11.50 - 11.8.2018 at 12.40 Ulvila Observation number 76807

Visibility IV / V

Tomi Kurri, Porin Karhunvartijat

The weather in the Pori region before the start of the eclipse looked weak, there were a lot of clouds and no sun. However, together with Jarkko Suominen, we decided at the last minute to go to the Pori Bear Guard observatory in Ulvila, if we could even see it now.

Yes, they saw it, the strong wind dewed the clouds enough that observation and description were possible. In the second picture, the blackout glasses that served as an observation tool in the visual observations and an overview of the situation in the clouds. The eclipse was quickly over, but a great experience overall!

Oli kyllä varsin onnistunut havainnointireissu tornille 7/8 pilviseltä taivaalta!
