Comet with naked eye coma Wirtanen - 26.12.2018 at 17.50 - 26.12.2018 at 18.40 Kirkkonummi Observation number 79905

Visibility III / V

Jouko Markkanen, Ursa (Helsinki)

Finally, the sky became clear even in the metropolitan area, so that you could wonder about Wirta. I classify the observation as a binocular comet, although yes, that spot on the naked eye just stood out when appropriately looked aside. The pictures already have a clear greenish glow.

The first image is 100mm f / 2.8, the light is about 23 minutes in total (30 sec in chunks), the second image is taken from one 24mm shot with light pollution removed from the north sky.
