Total lunar eclipse - 21.1.2019 at 06.45 - 21.1.2019 at 08.05 Espoo Observation number 80633

Visibility IV / V

Jouko Markkanen, Ursa (Helsinki)

For once, the weather favored an eclipse observer, perhaps with the exception of temperature. Getting the family moving was not successful until the perfect phase had already begun, but pictures had to be taken until the Moon sank to the tree line. By that point, the rest of the family had already escaped the frost a long time ago, and even the photographer was starting to freeze his fingers and toes, but it was worth it.
