The new observation stand Losmandy G11 from the Ulvila observatory in Pori Bear Guards is finally ready for operation. In honor of it and as a small test, I decided to take a picture of the M81, or Boden Galaxy.

The pole orientation isn’t quite finished yet, but the minute exposures on the C11 were a pretty easy sausage. When using the autoguider, I was satisfied with partial exposures of up to 4 minutes due to moonlight. The total exposure time was 2 hours.

Also included is a picture of the equipment used. For those interested, there is free admission to Ulvila Observatory every Tuesday from 7 pm!
