Pearl clouds - 27.12.2011 at 16.05 Helsinki Observation number 828

Visibility II / V

Timo Kuhmonen, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

By bus going to the center of Hki on December 27, 2011, shortly after 4 p.m. The handsome colors were in the direction of the sunset in the sky. A rag-like structure was visible, with orange / yellowish borders. At an estimated height of 10 degrees ...

Appeared to the right of the crescent moon, in an area about 45 degrees wide. The camera was not included, for comparison from InterWeb
http://www.atm.helsinki.fi/~tpnousia/gengal/mopc.html

In my own observation, the possible pearls (?) Were not quite as clear as in the example picture, otherwise similar. The "rags" were even dimmer, barely distinguished from the background sky. I didn't see the colors in them.

If necessary, experts can comment on my findings ...

Joni Tahkoniemeltä tuli juuri varmistava (valokuvallinen) havainto Turusta.
