Binocular comet Hergenrother - 14.10.2012 at 21.07 - 14.10.2012 at 21.43 Imatra Observation number 8423

Visibility III / V

Rauno Päivinen, Etelä-Karjalan nova

Sunday night was clear for a few hours and the weather for filming the comet was better than the night before. Even the Milky Way was visible this time. I got 12 3min exposures. The first picture has a single exposure. In the second, the images are stacked with DSS and aligned with their comet, the third is the best for me and the alignment of the 12 images is done with the stars, it shows well how the comet praises in the sky.

The fourth image was taken with a SLR camera and an 85 mm lens, the comet is marked with line fragments. The brightest star in the image is the star in the upper left corner of Pegasus Square.
