At first a calm arch was visible. It then disintegrated into bright strands, which took a few minutes. After that, nothing was visible. There was ice mist in the air from the snow cannons of the nearby biathlon stadium, and the village lamps made faint pillars of light on it, but their brightness was completely overshadowed by the northern lights. In the more rigorous image, one pillar somehow stands out.
