Active aurora band - 19.3.2020 at 02.15 - 19.3.2020 at 03.00 Kuopio Observation number 89103

Visibility III / V

Minna Glad, Kuopion Saturnus

Early in the evening Steve went sideways as the gauze covered the sky. Eventually, the sleet began to lash out, so let's just crawl into the sleeping bag. Be that as it may, I happened to wake up a quarter over 2, and the sky was completely clear, and in the north there was a green arc! (First picture at 02.28.) The west end came to life, and at 02.40 the structures had reached the east end as well (second picture). At 02.45 a spiral developed in the west, advancing to the east and whistling purple for some time (third image at 02.47). By 02.50 it had opened into a large, magnificent ring (fourth image). In the fifth picture there is still a final glow (at 03.00).

Siellähän on ollut varsin näyttävät revontulet! Tuota ihailin vesisateen keskeltä magnetometrin käyriä katsellen.
