Telescopic comet ATLAS - 13.4.2020 at 22.57 - 13.4.2020 at 23.34 Imatra Observation number 89926

Visibility II / V

Rauno Päivinen, Etelä-Karjalan nova

Comet C / 2019 Y4 (ATLAS) has changed its shape compared to the observation a couple of days ago. After all, the comet broke into pieces and now the first piece of work was clearly the brightest. All in all, I think there are still four pieces that can be seen from those pictures, the latter being very weakly distinct and leaving little uncertainty. This time I stacked 60s of 30s exposures by manually applying AsrtoArt6. That program has interesting additions, including a color palette with which I tried to make that last piece stand out better (second picture) As well as a 3d topographic view of the amount of light, where that last one stands out most clearly as a small pimple.
