The asteroid Apophis, potentially threatening the Earth, about 500 meters in diameter, is now close to Earth, about 15 million km away. It is observable as an object of 15 magnitudes in the constellation of Water Snake. The attached image is photographed with the 40 cm remote telescope of Sirius Hankasalmi Observatory in Jyväskylä.
