Visibility V / V
At the end of September, it was a couple of days reasonably clear in Senja, when a fierce northern lights storm happened. As I went through the thousands of images, I noticed quite a coincidence ... a screaming thunder face, the size of the whole sky. After all, the characters in the pictures are much smaller and nowhere near as clear.
Ukkeli does not shout his face in red - but rather in green ...
So is this the clearest northern lights image that has come up?
The Northern Lights play turned out to be like that just a couple of minutes after the situation in Figure 3 with a super bright spiral / omega on top.
The image may have more entertainment value than science, but I hope it encourages others to hunt for characters :-)
