Visibility III / V
The comet C / 2017 K2 (PANSTARRS) was filmed on the second night of the April 2021 campaign. A comet on a hyperbolic orbit was discovered by PANSTARRS (PS1) on May 21, 2017 at a distance of 16.09au. The comet will come to Perihel in December 2022. We have described this comet several times already. Last two months ago. The comet is record-breaking, already very far from the sun, it has been compared to the Hale-Bopp comet in 1997, source Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C/2017_K2 . When photographing the comet was 6,500au away, the closest it will be
1.819au July 14, 2022.
