The arc of northern lights seen on Allsky's camera lured him out again to inspect the situation. There was a fairly active phase going on in the northern lights and even a small northern lights corona could be noticed, then from the pictures that corona came out more clearly. However, the show faded pretty quickly into individual rays and a dim arc of northern lights.

A handsome show for this evening and for once I will be filming - namely in time. For a long time wide angle on loan, full of enjoyment. In the hope of good pictures, we navigated to that ferry port and left with cold fingers. On the card came that sun and above all at least self-pleasing pictures. At first, for a very long time, the mere arc appeared dim until the thing tore into a dance and the camera was allowed to sing as expected. The corona was also on offer but to my own eyes so dim I didn't even bother to lift the camera towards the sky.

There were still enough northern lights for tonight, there is not much to tell about these, there were still streaked spots above the northern lights belt, as well as rays. They did not rise to very large heights.

Upon arrival at the observation site at 9 pm the sky was completely cloudy, only a cold wind accompanied.

The wonderful belts with their pink lower edges in the early evening and the appearance of the corona during the dog run even made me drag me to the shore of Höytiäinen, even though the fatigue started to weigh down. On the beach, the situation looked pretty calm, the shapes barely visible, but because the forecast was reasonably promising, I put the camera to knock. The brightest moment coincided with the knowledge of the night of Peuole. The best visual giveaway of the night were the dim but fast-moving repo spots that wiped the sky after midnight, nicely reflecting the current characteristi...

Bright and active northern lights. Formations with belts and slightly dimmer gauze all over the sky. The colors are clearly distinguished by shades of green and pink and purple.

These northern lights were waiting to be seen. The play was over quickly and the next ones got in the way again. However, the entire northern sky was full of thin and rather dim eyes of the whole observation period from 21.00 to 22.50, from which even beautiful shots were taken with the camera.

I don't focus on getting to the main picture but I've never seen a pink repo ... and it hasn't been seen for a long time

At 9 p.m., there were a few short periods of activity on both sides, with a purple-edged arc at best, and a radial curtain whose tops were very blue in places, extending over 45 degrees. Beautiful autumn and spring phenomenon. However, there is nothing particularly impressive, covering the sky with Multia latitude. At peak times, I wasn’t in a decent shooting location yet, these images are from the downturn. After that, the sky was more or less empty. The cloudiness was 0/8 all the time, so you could admire the starry sky while listening to the Finland-Romania football match :-) In the low nor...

After yesterday’s 5-hour northern session, today I put Tappara-Kärpät at the top of the match, and didn’t even have to look properly out the window. However, after the game, the encounter of neighbors in the yard again brought the compelling need to go out. The best stage was visible in the car, but above the Levikeskus you could see a pretty and living belt. Images must be organic.

I drove to the sandy beach of Usmi in Hyvinkää to describe it. The show was dim today, but the repos were comfortably reflected from the icy lake.

Repo people in the sky again, this time in rays. As if someone had flashed different bright and colored rays into the sky with a searchlight. This was the ninth northern lights sighting in Kangasala this fall. I don't remember seeing northern lights so often in southern Finland for 10 years.

There was also some kind of repo last night but a rather modest play compared to the previous night. Timelapse here .

A little race fatigue starts to strike when shooting northern lights ?! The lazy start paid off in that the best Korona was not photographed and in the end only a part of the fading show (gif animation made from GoPro pictures) came into the pictures. Of course, this would already be the best compared to many other screenings, but now we have seen so much better (both live and in other people's pictures) that I can't really get excited about this now. But when you get one night of sleep properly then again go along the fields and bushes with cameras in your armpits;)

There they were again. The night before, I weighed so much that I couldn't bear to delve into the subject.

The Northern Lights play continued, but now that the clouds didn’t bully they were, of course, dimmer. After all, they had to be photographed, because towards quieter years we go here. The brightest phase lasted only a short time between about 9 pm and 9.30 pm.

Despite the great northern lights of the night before, I still had to go see if there were any great northern lights. And yes, they were visible.
