Rocket-related clouds

6.4.2019 at 01.10 - 01.40 - Kittilä (V)
Timo Koivisto

It looked as if the bundles of particles had collided with a magnetic field, for first spheres of northern lights appeared, which turned blue-violet, and came several in a row, first in one row and then in another next to it. The pictures look like something has fallen down, but I didn’t notice any sounds. Eventually, blue-violets hovered in the sky like clouds, slowly disintegrating over a larger area but illuminating for a long time. I watched the phenomenon for half an hour and the same blue-purple clouds still hovered when I left home there and were really bright and distinctive. #raketti:...

I photographed northern lights on the Ylläsjärvi side of Yllästunturi on a ski slope. It was handsome. As they faded I went for a walk to the lodge and from time to time I turned to look back. Normally there was a thin gauze that no longer interested me after the show itself. But then suddenly it was as if the giant animal's paw pattern had been. There were these balls several times, the place varied a bit. At least I got to describe this one not being left behind in the trees. I have never seen anything like this before. #raketti: Nasa AZURE 1 & 2 / Black Brant XI-A (rocket test)

As the northern lights were photographed, a regular-shaped balloon pattern appeared in the northern sky and another beneath the pattern. Available in blue and green. This was repeated again after a while. As the balls faded, the blue-colored area remained in the sky for a while to glow. #raketti: Nasa AZURE 1 & 2 / Black Brant XI-A (rocket test)

I was filming the northern lights. These greenish "balls" and a bluish mist appeared in the sky. The little ones slowly grew and then disappeared / disintegrated. Could it be Nasa's "cloud study" to study the movement of ions in space, the colors were also perceptible to the naked eye for a moment. #raketti: Nasa AZURE 1 & 2 / Black Brant XI-A (rocket test)

I went to watch the northern lights on a clear night, and when I later came out back, there was something very special in the sky. Quickly viewed, they looked like blue northern lights with two clusters side by side. Blue spheres with a darker blue on top. The image, of course, sharpens the balls. Gradually the balls faded until they disappeared and the normal northern lights continued. #raketti: Nasa AZURE 1 & 2 / Black Brant XI-A (rocket test)
