Was out to take pictures of the northern lights on Gräsö but the northern lights were quite weak. Instead, STEVE appeared in the west. It was visible for about 20 minutes very clearly and at the same time I could also see faint northern lights.

Time lapse was thus photographed from September 27 to September 28, 2019 in Taivassalo on the bridge. I left the remainder of the observation open now because I don't remember how long that Steve was on display. In Timelapse, therefore, material from several hours, but in the beginning brings how Steve decided to appear on that night. https://youtu.be/oCkG-ao98G4

At your request, I will still send pictures of Steve on September 27, 2019. In Pori, we spotted a white, lively, cross-striped arch by the sea. At first we didn’t even realize it was Northern Lights. It took minutes before we started filming it. At the edges of the reddened Steven, green, loose rays are also visible in the two images. The first of those pictures is at 9.29.57 and the last at 21.49.22.

Green rays emanated from Steve's arc, which also stood out to the naked eye. It looked great!

A refreshing and wonderful northern lights show here in Southern Finland for a long time! I didn’t know I was filming the STEVE arc until afterwards. It was very much separated from the usual northern lights. The air direction was also different: I calculated that near the horizon the direction would be about 290 degrees, that is, almost to the west. I saw the formation of STEVE from the beginning. The first rays appeared at about 22:15 and at its widest the belt extended to zenith at about 22:30. The rays of the belt moved in a wave from the zenith towards the horizon. Shortly thereafter, the...

I had watched that the northern lights might appear. I was sometimes off the plane, but when I returned, there were comments and pictures that have been seen of STEVE. Not when suddenly on the set and due to shortness of breath, the images from the STEVE clip are not as accurate as without the tripod. All in all, I went outside a few times to shoot during this time as the distances go on foot. Or half-run when in a hurry. ; D In the past, there were milder and lower northern lights, which were visible just above the tops of the trees, but a little quiet ascent began to take place and the best ...

In Artjärvi, in the myth of the storm bongars, we wanted and got repos, although the Cloudiness was really depressing at the beginning. Sadly, the clouds gave way about two minutes after STEVE disappeared from the sky. (fortunately peer support was nearby...) Otherwise, we got a really festive set on such a southern scale. Huge thanks to the group again this season, it was a really nice weekend. Then again next year :) _______________ Veikko's supplemental observation report: The clouds were really a hindrance at first. The crowd had already come out of the clouds in the first burst of act...

Since Sarviniemi on Taipalsaari turned out to be disappointing because of the clouds, I went home but luckily I decided to stop to see what the situation was at the "place of normal use". And that was really good. A green northern lights boiled in the sky, seeking their shape. Just when I got the camera ready the arch condensed and I started dancing along the northern sky. I shot for a little over half an hour and smiled contentedly, mission completed.

I left the coffin a little late and annoyed the arc of northern lights visible almost all the way (on the way from Lappeenranta to Taipalsaari) because when we got to Sarviniemi, the northern sky was almost in a cloud. Sometimes it would not be worthwhile to go further out to sea to fish .. I photographed for a couple of hours, hoping the sky would clear up, because then that place I chose is the most amazing for northern lights photography. So dark enough. I photographed in slightly different directions and how something was starting to take shape among the clouds. Was it STEVE? And yes, it w...

Despite the tough predictions, I only got off to a repocytic until midnight. So STEVE passed me completely. I took one test picture at 9.57 pm from the window of the northeast corner of the new cabin and in the picture, a little greenery stood out in the shallow north, even in the middle of the agglomeration. I finally got myself and my gear ready to go, the clock showed exactly 0.00 when I started the car. When I reached the first field opening, an active belt was fluttering in the northern sky. Car on the first field road to the parking lot, camera on a tripod and suddenly to shoot. After ta...

Stunning and long lasting northern lights near the Alastaro motorway. The fog interfered from time to time and the lens frosted. Too bad the slide rail was not on the trip. Occasionally very lively and colorful.

Friday-Saturday night northern lights photographed in Kouvola. On the eagle side, the sky was completely in the cloud, so I moved to the neighbor’s side. There, the problem was the mist raft, which covered the whole sky. Admittedly, there were no clouds. When I left for the house, the lights in the picture shone in the mirror, so I parked the car in the first rest area and I got one somewhat successful picture.

I was visiting Kouvola for a weekend village and kept an eye on the sky just in case the northern lights had been promised and the sky was clear contrary to forecasts. In the north direction I did not see the northern lights when I was outside, but the orphaned beam roughly in the northwest direction caught my eye. The tripod was not included, so I improvised a bit and carefully placed the camera on the support post of the Kouvola racetrack fence, when I just reached for it. Unfortunately, Steven apparently missed it. In hindsight, a certain person could have taken a couple of pictures with th...

There appeared to be isolated reddish or pink showers on the west side of the normal, mostly green northern lights. This is probably Steve's arch. The phenomenon was visible for more than half an hour. A calm arc of northern lights was visible on the northern horizon as early as 10pm when I arrived. From time to time, the northern lights activated and rose higher, causing the camera to distinguish colors other than green. The colors did not separate with the naked eye. 28.9. after 1 p.m., I noticed fast, about 1-second heart rate-propagating "waves" that rose high.

Friday night finally blurred enough for the northern lights to start to appear and almost immediately there was one bright show and far enough away from the perspective of the landscape in terms of filming. Then it was a bit quieter even though the camera did record whatever. The southern sky was also kept in mind, albeit a slightly challenging shooting direction, at the base with the lights on. There was some dim accordion there and the pictures grabbed next to the Milky Way. As the day changed, Korona finally appeared over her head for a moment. It took 10 hours of outdoor activities and a c...

Finally, the northern lights forecast coincided with a cloudless sky and it was a long time it was necessary to go out and go. I got a few good pictures of the fire and I guess I also had my first pictures of that Steve arch, it's a pity when I was just changing places when that arch was at its peak and I only got to shoot the last moments of it, but a small tactile flight hit that one picture.

I noticed northern lights in the western sky. There seemed to be a quiet life in the north. Less often, the first observation comes from a direction other than the north. I took the camera and walked to the beach. The lights of the parish campground shone bright on the other side of the lake. When the long streak in the sky was just above the bright lights in place, I thought it was some kind of reflection of the artificial lights. However, I grabbed a few photos of it, for sure. After a while the streak started to break down and I drew my attention to the north, there was greenery and there w...

Timelapse from 21:36 to 21:53 at the same time as the others were filmed by Steven. 200 2s exposures every 5s. Steve, well described by the others, was just outside the picture field. There is a relatively bright echo of city lights in that direction, so there was no camera pointing in that direction. Pictures taken at church after midnight 1s exposures. In the picture of the belfry, the lights in the yard were still on. At that time, the northern lights were close to the maximum. The arch had already sunk into the zenith. An awkward subject for this big northern lights show. There should be f...

When I arrived at the observation site, the fires were calm. In the northwest, I noticed a dim bundle of opaque rays that have since been confirmed to function as a Steve arc and the associated “picket fence” structure. I did not see the actual long curve at my observation site due to light pollution and terrain obstacles.
