Sun

14.3.2022 at 17.40 - Ulvila (IV)
Vesa Puistovaara, Porin Karhunvartijat

As for my solar observations, my first pictures for the current year. The last image also tells the location of the observations better. The whole image of the Sun is thus a snapshot captured from the SpaceWeather site, an image produced by a satellite from the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). An increase in solar activity is currently being observed: compared to previous years, it is painless to say that from now on the next (3-5 years ?!) will be one parade march in terms of spots and also northern lights. Well, what am I going to guess about these - as long as I photographed the Sun on Mar...

Jupiter and the moons from the left: Ganymedes, Kallisto, Io and Europa. About the imaging technology: One source video of 2350 frames, of which 10% is stacked as a source image with Registax. There are two treatments for this: First the adjustment of Jupiter and then the elevation of the moons, in the latter a burnt-out planet blackened in Photoshop. Merging: 1. Image Stacker on a 'brighter than' principle, 2. The Jupiter area is rocked in Photoshop to the right place with respect to the moon. Therefore, in the second image, the edge of the planet is less diffuse. On orthodoxy: the fi...
