The traces of the last round of rocket-firing of the Centaur V launch vehicle, which launched Landsat 9 into orbit, were also recorded on the Tähtikallio all-sky camera. The rocket appears in the picture at 0.11 and is displayed for four minutes until 0.14 until it is pushed behind obstacles. #raketti: Centaur V #satelliitti: Landsat 9

I was describing the northern lights at the base of the Keminmaa lookout tower. My spouse exclaimed from behind him, "Suddenly Twinkle, turn the camera west! See what a miracle there is!" For an unauthorized length of time, I was stupid before I got the camera in place, then I got three pictures of it. And I have to say that it was quite a wild feeling for such a sci-fi movie friend to find out calmly what could be the cause of the phenomenon. Damn great experience!

I was filming the northern lights in Paltaniemi, Kajaani on the shores of Lake Oulujärvi when after midnight I noticed something strange in the sky I suspected it was some kind of rocket because it was progressing so slowly at all. #raketti: Centaur V #satelliitti: Landsat 9

The camera was set to continuous shooting mode to capture any northern lights that might appear. They did not come, but the four images had a rocket launch reported in numerous other observations. The attached image is therefore a stack of four images. The rocket seemed to come from the west and pass northeast - pictured from left edge to center down to right, for the fourth time it appears dimmer behind the crane lifting hook wire. #raketti: Centaur V #satelliitti: Landsat 9

#raketti: Centaur V #satelliitti: Landsat 9

Rocket launch. I was photographing the northern lights when a small ball appeared in the north direction, moving slowly downwards and to the right, growing at the same time. Eventually, there were two smaller balls inside the larger perimeter. The reason for this rocket launch was already revealed, in Inari the phenomenon lasted about 3 minutes and was well visible.

In Hanko, I was preparing to photograph the northern lights heading north. I adjusted the exposure as well as the cropping when the "bluish" glow in the northern sky lit up in the low horizon. To the eyes, the glow remained in place but as it expanded it felt like it had "come on". Everything happened below the Otava bucket pretty exactly in the middle of the bucket. I got two pictures of the glow, the first "fireball" I hadn't noticed when shooting. The picture shows three pictures of the situation combined.

Menin katsomaan laiturille josko näkyisi revontulia, mutta näkymä olikin yllättävä. Kerkesin ottaa yhden kuvan ennenkuin raketti paineli hurjaa vauhtia taivaanrantaan.

When photographing the swan mists, there was a hurry to get the first pictures of this phenomenon. There was no time to tune the tripod, so I managed to get a few pictures of the arm before it disappeared behind the trees.

Rocket launch. Highly visible behind the clouds. At the bottom of this, I wish I had no clouds, I might have seen it longer.

I was witnessing the same Atlas V rocket launch at midnight in Lahti harbor. The phenomenon was spectacular and well visible. The fire gas cloud moved slowly in the northern horizon towards the horizon, the direction of movement was from left (west) to right. The color turned redder the closer to the horizon it went.
