On melko toivottomalta kuulostavia lukemia, kun miettii että tällä hetkellä Maata kiertää reilu neljä tuhatta satelliittia (suurin osa romua) ja pienempää romua ihan tolkuton määrä.

SpaceX on suunnitellut laittavansa kietoradalle 12 000 (kyllä, kaksitoista tuhatta!), jopa 42 000 satelliittia. Toivottavasti ei niistä yksikään kolaroi, jolloin syntyisi taas muutama tuhat kappaletta lisää seurattavaksi ja väisteltäväksi...

Ja SpaceX:n lisäksi moni muukin toimija suunnittelee omia, tuhansien satelliittien laivastojaan...

Ja kuinka ollakaan, tuolta viimeisen linkin sovelluksesta pistää silmiin yksi yhtenäinen, kapea rantu satelliitteja.. :)
