Mars - 8.9.2020 at 01.54 Hyvinkää Observation number 93551

Visibility IV / V

Timo Inkinen, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

Mars photographed this fall in the best seeing that has hit me so far. I used 4x PowerMate for this image (tube focal length 4800mm) and shot 68 fps video with a low ROI setting with an ASI183MM Pro camera through a Baader IR-Pass filter. This time the blocks snaped into place and I got the best Mars picture this fall for myself :-)

This time the picture left Mare Sirenum, Olympus Mons, Phoenecis Lacus, Solis Lacus and the plain of Memnonia. Seeing was somewhere between satisfactory and good, as I neither visually saw Mars very well, but the fast 69fps / 14ms video got enough (3%) sharp frames picked from that image. A little to be satisfied :-)
