Apophis belongs to the so-called Aten asteroid family, which means that the asteroids belonging to the family remain inside the Earth's orbit
According to the latest estimates, the size of the asteroid is between 340 and 370 meters.

The asteroid was at this time's bypass at its nearest distance of about 44 months, which means about 16.9 million kilometers.

I measured the brightness of the asterod mag 15.4.

On Friday, April 13, 2029, Apophis will pass the Earth at a distance of about 31,643 kilometers. This distance is smaller than with so-called geosynchronous satellites.
