Partial solar eclipse - 10.6.2021 at 12.51 - 10.6.2021 at 15.19 Rovaniemi Observation number 98853

Visibility IV / V

Sari Pietikäinen, Corona Borealis, Rovaniemi

Huh hell!
We had great luck in Rovaniemi, when at no point did the clouds from the eclipse come to disturb the display. gathered with an association group in the Arctic Park to observe, and of course, more audiences were welcomed to the venue, although there was no time to actually advertise the event. Yes, a few outsiders did.

I still sometimes learn how to make a decent picture collage ... ny became tommonen. : D The intention was to take a picture evenly every 5 minutes, but when there is no programmable shutter and tracking stand ... and of course I had to socialize, visit Ursa's live zoom, adjust binoculars, talk in a radio interview and socialize again ... parka had at times run away from the picture completely, and the spacing between the pictures is a bit of what hurts. But not at all. a self-made solar filter came out of this today. It was nice to see the outfit for a long time!

At 12.51 I had time to take my first picture, and there was already a slight eclipse in it. The first of these images was taken at 12.56. At the height of Rovaniemi, I assume that the maximum was sometimes 14.05-14.06. and of these images most of it has been taken on 14.05, i.e. the 4th single image. The last clues about the eclipse I got in the pictures were still 15.19 and then it was over.

A great observation experience for myself, and apparently for others as quite a happy crowd left the scene.
